Kat Sprudzs is originally from Leesburg, VA. With ballet as her main focus, she trained at the Ashburn Academy of Ballet, The Washington Ballet, and the Houston Ballet. After attending a summer intensive at Alonzo King LINES Ballet in 2012 and the Cedar Lake 360 program in 2013, she fell in love with contemporary movement. She spent 3 years in the Steps Repertory Ensemble, the contemporary company in residence at Steps On Broadway, performing works by William Forsythe, Shannon Gillen, Zvi Gotheiner, Francesca Harper, Jae Man Joo, Lar Lubovitch, and Nathan Trice, among many others. At one point, she served as choreographer’s assistant to Bradley Shelver during his creation process with the Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program at Joffrey NYC. She has now completed her first year as a Dance BFA student at the Ohio State University, with a planned focus in performance and rehearsal directorship. Kat could not be more excited about the growth that the next three years of her degree will bring!
